Gabriel Hage Mathilde

Diplomée en musicologie, compositrice et pianiste franco-libanaise, Mathilde Gabriel-Hage se passionne pour la musique dès son plus jeune âge, convaincue que son avenir serait dédié à cet art.

Repérée par le compositeur Georges Boeuf, elle se forme auprès de Francine Aubin et d’Édith Canat de Chizy, après avoir obtenu son prix en écriture musicale dans la classe d’Alfred Herzog au Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Boulogne-Billancourt.

Elle reçoit, à l’unanimité, le diplôme d’honneur en piano du Conservatoire Russe Serge Rachmaninoff, sous la direction de Katia Koleva, avant d’intégrer le cycle de virtuosité à la Schola Cantorum, avec Louis-Claude Thirion.

Elle se produit régulièrement en concert, interprétant ses propres compositions ainsi que des œuvres du répertoire.

Compositrice depuis l’enfance, son catalogue inclut aujourd’hui près d’une centaine de lieder pour voix et piano (dont elle a également écrit les textes pour certains), plusieurs pièces orchestrales, ainsi qu’un large répertoire pour musique de chambre et piano solo.

Elle a récemment été honorée du second accessit dans la catégorie Composition du 99ᵉ Concours Léopold Bellan.

Graduated in musicology, Franco-Lebanese composer and pianist, Mathilde Gabriel-Hage developed a passion for music from a very early age, convinced that her future would be devoted to this art.

She was noticed by composer Georges Boeuf and studied with Francine Aubin and Édith Canat de Chizy, after obtaining her prize in musical writing in the class of Alfred Herzog at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional of Boulogne-Billancourt.

She was unanimously awarded the diploma of honour in piano from the Serge Rachmaninoff Russian Conservatory, under the direction of Katia Koleva, before joining the virtuosity cycle at the Schola Cantorum, where she studied with Louis-Claude Thirion.

She performs regularly in concert, performing her own compositions as well as works from the repertoire.

A composer since childhood, her catalogue today includes nearly one hundred lieder for voice and piano (some of which she also authored the lyrics for) several orchestral works, and an extensive repertoire for chamber music and solo piano.

She was recently awarded second accessit in the composition category of the 99th edition of the Léopold Bellan Competition.
